Special Training: Harmonizing!

“By using this metaphor, the author wants to show how much he cares for the future of his country, making it easier for the reader to identify with him and makes him sympathic.”
“Well done, Alexander.”
Beat nodded, laying down the sheet of paper he wrote his homework on and looked out of the window again. English never had been his favorite class, and especially analyzing speeches were more or less totally boring for him. Normally, he would have finished this in an hour, at the longest, but that homework had taken him forever.
It had been exactly twenty nine days, since Charston had received this letter. And every night Beat thought about if it had been really right to accept the challenge. What if they’d lose in the first round? What if they would be beaten in a way you only could call shameful? He didn’t wanted the other to become sad and angry, didn’t wanted them to suffer.
Geez. He sounded like Blues.
Beat sighed lowly, watching boys and girls running around in circles for sport class outside. It was only six days from now on. Six days to train hard so they could at least fight without being drubbed by the other teams.
The news spread fast when practice had been over. Beat didn’t wonder about that. Both Gaby and Robyn knew about it, so the whole school knew the next day. The others wished them good luck and even their sport teacher decided to cancel the lesson in favor for them, so they could train a bit more.
TV was fast with the news, too. Not as fast as Gaby and Robyn, though. Two days after that, there was a special airing of a documentation about the schools which would participate. They showed pictures of the buildings, listed up match results and introduced the captains.
Beat himself found it a bit awkward to see his photo in the news, but especially the girls, who normally weren’t allowed to be in the boy’s dorm, made him compliments.
Beat now only knew of a few teams that were introduced.
Just like America, England and Japan had been parted, so two teams could participate.
For West Japan, the world famous Raimon would enter, and for East Japan the Crest Sabers.
Beat was really looking forward to meeting Endou Mamoru, but also Kidou Yuuto, which he was a bit more interested in, only because he was, just like himself, the team’s strategist. It was kind of a pity, they couldn’t deal with Inazuma Japan. How exciting everyone had been when they watched the FFI together. Especially Jay was all thrilled, being Japanese herself. She knew everything about Inazuma Japan and Raimon, was a great fan… Beat just hoped this wouldn’t affect her football.
As for Crest Saber, Rhythms Captain never had heard about them. He asked Jay about them, but she didn’t knew anything either. Their captain, Kuukikaze Sora, seemed to be an interesting person, though. In an interview, he seemed to be excited, but just as confident as Endou did.
England’s North Team, Arcana, led by a boy called Justice, was introduced after Japan’s teams. They seemed to be promising as well, being  well known in England, as Disco told him. He stood in contact with his brother, who was quite the soccer freak, too. The south team had not been introduced yet, so they skipped them.
Spain’s soccer team, the Element Jr. High, was also well known in its country. Ariettas older sister, Ava, visited the school, but was not a part of the football club. With a bit of luck, she could give Beat information about them. He did not intend to be perfectly prepared, but at least basic information would be quite helpful.

They missed the other introduction show the day after that, and weren’t able to look it up in the internet, because every moment of free time they had, they spend with training. Beats whole body hurt after these special schedules, so he simply forgot about it. The blue haired boy was just happy to sleep, just like his other teammates. Jazz, with which he shared a room, was so tired he didn’t get to flirt with a single girl in this whole time, which was quite impressive. He normally had always at least a bit energy left, but he didn’t even insulted Disco once. That was… kind of a wonder.
Sonata, which he worried about even more, didn’t seem to be affected that much. She smiled just like always, and didn’t complain at all. As for Blues, he accepted the fact they were going to FFIY quite fast, and didn’t even start muttering about practice. Charston of course knew that she put an ordeal on them, but Beat trusted his Coach completely. She was an intelligent woman, and he knew that she was well aware of what she was doing. Hopefully the others would understand that, too…

“Goddammit, Dolce, your pass was awful!”, Jazz grumbled annoyed. Dolce threw a deadly gaze to him, then ran to her place right before Beat.
Practice had started a while ago and the Captain had noticed that the atmosphere was tense. Even Reggae seemed to lack motivation, Disco didn’t even cared that some strains of his gold blond hair came out under his wig. Arietta had lost interest in jumping around and now sat on the ground, pulling out grass blades, crushing them between her fingers. Dolce had one of her rare moments in which she was a real fury… All of them sensed the intense pressure laying on them.
Beat threw a desperate gaze to Sonata, who stood in the goal, looking a bit sad. She never took kindly to see her friends in a bad mood. The Keeper noticed her brothers gaze and smiled encouragingly to him. He tried to smile as well, but ended up looking like a drowned rat.

The loud sound of a whistle made them stop the training. They walked down the pitch, took water and towels from their managers, not speaking to each other. Charston looked at them, feeling a bit responsible for the bad mood. She knew that this bad mood would bring even the best team to a breakdown.
So she looked at her note board, ran her fingers through her hair and raised her voice:
“That’s all for today. We will meet tomorrow again, exactly three o’clock.”
The others threw a tired gaze at her, but didn’t say anything against it. They knew she was doing that for them, even though that didn’t make the perspective of another day of hard training any better.

“I hope he’s alright…”, Sonata mumbled. Dim sighed, crewing the blue hair of Beat’s little sister.
“Don’t worry that much about him”, she said. “I think Alexander knows what he’s doing.”
Dolce stretched her muscles, then laid on her bed. “I’m done…”, she sighed, hiding her face in the pillows. Arietta did the same, huddling up against the Blonde.
“I bet he worries very much about us”, Sonata said. “We should do the same with him! I mean, he got the greatest responsibility of us all…”
“Beat is a strong boy. He wouldn’t want to bother you”, Dim replied, braiding Sonata’s hair carefully. The girls had come together, even though they did not really know why. None of them wanted to be alone.
Maybe because there were only five days left…
“I wonder if we’re going to make it”, Dolce mumbled, stroking about Arietta’s back. She was already sleeping, her chest lifted slowly and evenly.
“We trained really hard, Dolce. We even developed a few Hissatsus. It’s gonna be alright!”, Diminuendo smiled. There was no use worrying about it now. Even if they didn’t win, they’re going to be part of an international contest. That was… Kind of awesome.
“Blue’s attitude-“, Dolce yawned. “- rubbed off me.”
Sonata giggled.
“Tomorrow’s going to be hard. We should sleep now”, Diminuendo said.
“Arietta is one step ahead of you”, Dolce laughed lowly. Ashley threw a confused gaze over to the sleeping girl, still cuddling Dolce’s arm. Dim sighed a bit smiling.
“What about you?”, she asked Sonata, who yawned. “Wanna stay over for tonight?”
“Only if it’s okay with you”, she replied.
“I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t.”
“Okay then.”

“Everyone’s here?”
Charston looked around to see unmotivated faces. Beat threw insecure gazes to the others. He seemed to worry very much.
“Mitt? Is everything ready?”, the woman asked.
Mitt nodded, running his fingers through his hair. “Everything’s done, Boss”, he replied grinning, pointing on the huge baskets next to him.
“Megan?”, Charston now turned to the turquois haired girl who played with her phone again. She looked up a second, then her gaze went back to the display. “Yo, they finished the preparations.”
“What preparations?”, Dim asked, raising an eyebrow.
“You’ll see soon”, Charston smiled gracefully. “Enter the bus, everyone. We make a trip!”
“But Coach! We’re supposed to train!”, Beat disagreed, getting black looks by the others. Dim laid her arm around his shoulders, pinching him in the cheek.
“What Beat meant was…”, she grinned. “Where are we going?”
“Like I said. You’ll see.”

“Oh, I hope it’s a candy store!”, Arietta said, her eyes sparkling out of excitement.
“Do you really think she would make a trip to the candy store?”, Blues asked sighing. “I doubt that.”
“Geez, Blues!”, she complained, hitting him lightly on the arm.
“She’s right! I mean, candy is wonderful!”, Jay nodded. “It makes you feel sooooo~ good!
“The only thing that it makes is making you fat and hyperactive…”, Blues mumbled.
Gladly, Jay overheard that.
In the front of the bus, where Charston, Beat, Jazz and Sonata sat, they tried to find out where they were heading.
“A museum?”, Beat tried his luck.
“How lame!”, Jazz commented, pretending to yawn.
“Maybe we see a film in the cinema?”, Dim proposed.
“Maybe we’re going swimming?”, Sonata said hopefully.
“Nope”, Charston simply replied. “Just wait a bit longer, we’re almost there.”

When the bus stopped, everyone looked out of the window, shouting out in excitement.
“Are you serious, Coach?”, Reggae asked laughing. “That’s our trip?”
“Oh my gosh… That’s a-ma-zing!”, Jay cheered.
“I am”, Coach replied. “I know that I pushed a lot of pressure on you. And I think that you all deserve something that refreshes you.”
“Wow! That’s so cool!”, Arietta laughed, jumping of her seat and exit the bus. The others followed her quickly.
“So, Beat, what do you think?”, Charston asked the Captain who waited to go out last. “Can you help them to relax?”
“Of course I can!”, Beat grinned. “That’s my job, isn’t it?” He heard his sister call him and get out, too. Charston began to smile.
Yes, that was his job.
She just hoped that this trip would give them the motivation they needed.
Prologue: [link]

Part two of my Fanfic. I want to thank :iconanimegirlterra:, :iconssb-fan4ever:, :iconribbon-knight: and :icontimesnow: for letting me using their OC Teams. Of course that means that Crest Sabers, Element, Arcana and Encantasia do not belong to me. Only Rhythm is made up by me.

So, what about you guess where they are heading to? What does Coach Charston has in mind for them?

The Harmonizing Part comes in the next chapter, I don't know myself why I named this one like that xD
